Wade Research, Inc. (WRI) has conducted petroleum investigations in all types of facilities geared to the recovery, refining and distribution of petroleum and its related products. Working both upstream and downstream assignments, facilities include offshore platforms, pipeline rights of way, refineries, chemical plants, tank farms, and service station properties. Petroleum products that have been the focus of WRI's work include crude oils and refined products covering the entire product range from automobile and aviation gasolines to residual distillates. Specialized facilities that are part of the petroleum-based investigations include airports and jet fuel tank farms and refueling systems. Commercial diesel fuel storage/dispenser systems and private residence-based home heating oil storage systems are also part of WRI's experiences. Dr. Wade has presented expert testimony in both U.S. Federal and various state courts on petroleum geochemical issues.
Chlorinated hydrocarbon investigations completed by WRI include both polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin and polychlorinated dibenzofuran (PCDD/F) and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) classes. Dr. Wade has presented expert testimony in both U.S. Federal and various state courts on PCDD/F geochemical issues. In addition, Dr. Wade has completed numerous environmental assessments on man's impacts to the world's oceans, including wide area environmental assessments, marine environmental assessments of the impacts of the operation of offshore discharge of effluent from publicly owned treatment of wastewater (POTW) facilities into the Atlantic Ocean.
Dr. Wade is internationally recognized for development and implementation of various instructional courses given annually to professional societies and state regulatory personnel. For over two decades, he has authored and presented a variety of environmental forensic geochemical educational courses to various professional organizations that are geared to the postgraduate level continuing educational requirements of environmental professionals. Courses were geared to licensed site professional (LSP) and licensed site remediation professional (LSRP) requirements of U.S. state professional organizations as well as for regulatory and enforcement personnel. Dr. Wade has taught similar courses at various U.S. and International professional society meetings. As part of this instructional effort, the courses present a balanced approach to the issues, giving not only Dr. Wade's own contributions to the peer reviewed technical literature, but those of other contributors as well.
